Clarence D. Mallory was born February 25, 1973, in Amarillo, Texas, to Clarence Mallory Sr. and Mamie Nell Mallory. Clarence D. Mallory Sr. is the youngest of four brothers and a sister. As a product, growing through the ranks, of public school, he attended South Lawn Elementary School, James W. Fannin Junior High, and Tascosa High School in Amarillo. While attending South Lawn Elementary School, Clarence received his call from God. It was not until he was in high school that he started to grow as a Leader by participating in Naval Junior ROTC. During his tenure as a NJROTC Cadet, Clarence attended a leadership academy in Corpus Christi, Texas and a leader started to develop. Shortly after graduating high school he entered into the U.S. Army. Clarence D. Mallory spent eight years serving his country, where by he received various awards for his hard work.

During this time he also attended several colleges throughout the world. Clarence D. Mallory Sr .met his wife Barbara Lovonne Carter while working a part time job at a computer store in Duluth, Georgia. They were married September 5, 2004 and have seven children- Devree Lynette Mallory, Clarence David Mallory Jr., Tanisha L'Oréal Washington, Clarence Ashton Mallory, Clarence Darmour Mallory, Xymir Tyee Mallory, and Jada Simone Mallory.

Throughout the silent years, Clarence searched the Bible for answers for issues that he was going through. In these years of dissatisfaction, he could never understand why his life was not working out in the way he felt that God intended for it to work. It was not until the year of 2000 that he started to gain understanding. Clarence took the leap of faith and accepted his calling to preach the gospel. But, there was still a large amount of problems that he had to contend with. After living out of his car for six months he never gave up on God. It was then that God told him that he was going to be a pastor and to start developing a pastors’ love. Becoming a pastor was not something that he wanted to do. Then he started to apply God’s word to his life in a stronger way and shortly after that his life slowly started to change. Then he met his wife Lovonne Carter and they became one. Five months later he bought her a home. Four months after purchasing their home he woke up one Sunday morning and look in the mirror, rubbed his face, he saw that there was no change and then he told God that he would accept the call to pastor. His life has never been the same.

While in class at Beulah Heights Bible College in Atlanta, Georgia, the Holy Spirit spoke to his heart telling him the name of the church that he was to start. Two months later the Holy Spirit spoke to him again giving him the name of a ministry that he was to start called Living Word of Life Ministries that came to life July 2005.
